Jobs Part 2

I told my current boss about the 2 inquiries I got today not because I want to leave, but because I want him to know that I can get another job, that people call me to work for them rather than me having to send my resume out. Part of me thinks it's vain and the another part thinks it's a form of job security. And by "security" I mean "treat me right or I can can be on another show tomorrow".
