Other Office Dogs
This is Kai (not sure of the spelling). He belongs to the sister of the Asst Costume Designer. She brought him into work on Thursday and he really seemed to enjoy it. He's quite a bit larger than Sofie and while she wasn't afraid of him, he did freak her out with his playing - he'd jump and lunge at her and that's a lot of dog coming at you! In the end, Sofie was mainly jealous and guarded. He ate all of her kibble, which had sat in the bowl for almost 2 weeks anyway, then stole Brad Pittbull, but I retrieved him and will wash off the slobber. The best part was Sofie going into the boss' office for her treat. She'd stand at the door, looking for Kai, making sure he didn't see she was getting food! Tuesday, February 10, 2009
Polar Bear vs. Sled Dog
Stuart Brown describes Norbert Rosing's striking images of a wild polar bear coming upon tethered sled dogs in the wilds of Canada's Hudson Bay. The photographer was sure that he was going to see the end of his dogs when the polar bear wandered in. The polar bear returned every night that week to play with the dogs.
